Purchased bottle at Tops in Vermont on my trip there. Pours a black-brown colour with a mocha head that lasts pretty long for such a high alcohol content. Decent foamy lacing. Aromas of raisins and grape, from the dark fruits of the malt to the mild wine barrel contribution. Some nuttiness, but mostly sweetness. This one has a higher hop factor them most of this style, so more bitter with some good dryness. Roasted malts, apples, dark fruits and coffee in the finish. Hints of chocolate. A pretty solid aged Impy stout.
