Very light ale brewed in the style of Cologne Germany, with a crisp, citrus finish. This is a unique German Ale which is ferociously defended and enjoyed in Cologne.

Pretty standard per the style...they hit the guidelines well but this is a style that just doesn't do much for me. Crisp and clean, but also light and uneventful.

    Sampler @ River City -

It'd been quite awhile since I'd last visited River City Brewing, so a day-trip to Old Sacramento found us walking over there. One of the first beers in the sampler, I have to say that it was rather unspectacular, but still quaffable. The nose was very faint, and I always hate how beer like this give off very little aroma, but what was there was just ever so slightly sweet. Flavor was very clean, with just a light malty finish. Light was the word with this beer. Sooo easy to knock down, I could see this one being very popular there.
