Redoak's German style Brown Ale has caramel malts on the nose with light phenolics which are initially followed by fruity complexities then an enjoyable dry bitterness on the finish (4.5%)

Dark Amber, almost bronze-hue.. A gamey nose (phenolics ?). The aroma/taste impression is one of subtle smoke, almost bacon-like, with a berry fruitiness. Creamy mouthfeel, but finishes dry. Interesting beer, and quite tasty. It would be good with red meats, I reckon.
