This refreshing blonde ale strikes a perfect balance between the smoothness of the malt, the subtle fruitiness of our house ale yeast, and zesty citrus notes from Crystal hops. Firemans #4 is a great way to beat the heat - enjoy it on a Texas summer day, or pair it with spicy foods to help put out the fire. The name comes from our good friends at Firemans Texas Cruzer, a local bike builder. Check out their rad bikes at firemansbikes.com

Pours a hazy golden with a fine ivory head. Malty and fruity aroma is not strong, but invites a taste. Flavor is mainly malty with a fruity undertone and a hint of yeast, nothing special but palatable. Smooth texture has average thickness and fizz. So-so, but good with a meal.

Served without glass, so don’t know about color and foam. In the US, thus served too cold, this kills the taste. Nice bitter, nothing special. Good drinking beer I guess for warm day.

For a blonde ale this is rather high on the ladder, but it's still a blonde ale. Light and refreshing, very clean flavor. Grassy malt with a hint of far away fruit and a touch of hops to balance it out. Light gold pour, fizzy white head and solid lacing. Would make for a nice beer to keep on hand.

This Brew poured a light golden color with a decent white head. Minimal lacing. The aroma was a bit on the light side of hops and malt some bread. Mouth feel was thin to medium. The falvor was not complex. Actually pretty light with a hop aftertaste.

Sampled this at the brewery. Light golden color. Very smooth taste that could be gulped with ease. Great summer beer. It just didn't have enough hops and character for me. Good blonde overall.

I have had this in both bottle and keg. Decent golden color, a little maltly but smooth,it had a small hop presence but it is a good quality beer. Easy to drink, it's worth trying.

A pretty nice Blonde Ale, poured at the Gingerman in Dallas, TX. Sweet, grainy aroma, slightly spicy. Billowy, soft head, clear body, light gold. Between creamy and crisp, soft carbonation. Grainy, sweetish, some spicy hops. A nice blonde ale.

Had this as Alamo in San Antonio, This hit the spot with its great smooth delicous flavour. This rocks as a golden ale, its bold and knows what its doing, and the good bitters set it off! thanks real ale, you sly buggers!

Had this in its incarnation as Alamo Golden Ale. Gimmicky label, and the color put me off. Golden yellow (go figure) and my prejudice against light beers pretty much doomed this beer at first. But the flavor grew on me. Very nicely hopped, and not too sweet. Those ol' boys down there in Blanco really know how to throw together a tasty brew. Pick it up and try it for yourself.

This is a smooth and refreshing golden ale. For an ale, it is on the light side and is a perfect introductory brew for those just getting into microbrews. You get all the great flavors of a handcrafted beer without going over the top on any of them that would scare those away that aren't accustom to the more robust taste of ales. For what it is, it is almost the perfect beer.
