A robust, full bodied winter ale, our Mummers is brewed with chocolate malt, generously hopped, and fermented to 6% alc/vol. Like our 1892 Traditional Ale, it will be enjoyed by those who prefer more substantial imported ales, similar to those of UK or Irish origin. You'll find our Mummers Brew at NLC stores and select outlets in Newfoundland and Labrador from early December to late March of every year.

This is the beer that became the Winter Ale, and certainly wasn't as good as the Winter Ale. The spicing used was very weak and really left one with the impression that they had a Rickard's Red with a little cinnamon. The beer was a clear copper colour, off-white head. Aroma was grain, metal, and cinnamon. Flavour was acid, metallic grass with a slight bitter finish. Good riddance!
