Home to bootleggers, colorful characters, and tough times – Hell Street, the nickname given to lower Dorchester on the east end of Charlottetown, was a rough-and-tumble area in the 1940’s and 50’s. A place where bare-knuckle boxing was a common pastime. Like Hell Street and its residents, this barrel-aged doppelbock is colorful, complicated, and punches above its weight to keep you on your toes.
