Flavors of dark chocolate and roasted malts are complemented by generous quantities of Northwest hops to give this dry stout an assertive but balanced profile. A traditional yeast strain lends further complexity to this rich dark brew.

A murky brown to black appearance. The aroma is chocolate, lemon scented soap, and coffee. Uh oh not looking good. The flavor is very sour with a huge does of lemons and chocolate as well. Overall this beer was really odd but not in a good way.

My bottle is called Port Townsend Stout. Poured with a very dark body that is nearly black. The head is thin and light orange and brown. The aroma is lightly roasted coffee along with some popcorn. The taste has some light toasted peanuts with a very light note of coffee. The body is also very light and fluffy. This is a very smooth stout, but could use a little more oomph. Excellent for a session stout.
