Can. Pours clear, wan yellow with a frothy porcelain head. And it’s downhill from there. Aroma is - hello? Earth to aroma! I can’t get a blamed thing. Flavor is barely malty - this tastes like heavily watered-down macro-brewed swill. I could get tipsy faster drinking Mountain Dew. Mouthfeel is indistinguishable from water. Well, the can was only 50 cents, and I had to give it a fair shake.

Can't beat it for price, and more important I think it taste better than the high price NA beers, especially Odoules. Coors NA is good also, but for the price I'll take the Penns Best. I just noticed the name Fred Koch on the can, and I hope this is not a Koch Bros product, or I will have to go back to Coors NA.

tomato paste background? i don't know about that, but everything else in the last review seems spot on. not anywhere near the worst pale lager i've had, but not any good either. at 2.49 per sixer...why not?

Jan 25, 2009 From a can. Looks like a pale lager. Smells like any other cheap pale lager. Has a slight tomato paste background on the palate. Weird, but is not as bad as some cheap lagers I’ve tasted. A little difficult near the end of the can. Reminds me quite a bit of coors N/A.
