Even the most conservative palates will love and celebrate this hippie conundrum. Our brewer, tired of the same old American Wheat Beer decided to spike this super refreshing style with Chocolate and Caramel malts creating an uber refreshing and surprisingly light; dark beer. Allthough we generally don’t like fruit in our beer, enjoying the hippie with a slice of orange will not hurt it a bit.

Sampled on 10/7/2012. This wheat ale pours a dark amber orange color from a 12oz can. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, wheaty and sweet. A light to medium bodied wheat ale. The malts are caramel, wheaty and sweet. The hops are earthy. Mild carbonation. A touch of banana and some chocolate malts. Its not quite a Dunkel and I am not entirely sure it’s a wheat either. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
