355ml bottle into schooner glass. From Porters, Bexley. Pours pale amber with sweet malt nose. Head of white bubbles disappears immediately leaving behind a glass of fizzy yellow/brown water. Harsh carbonation, no taste. Finish is a tiny touch of metal and old chewing gum. Very little to differentiate this from ’savings brand’ mineral water apart from the colour.

After reading these ratings I expect your typical pale yellow american beer, a bubbly fermented cool alcoholic beverage, from mexico? Technically, american does not have to mean just ‘the USA’. Did you ever notice how many use the word america to represent the United States? Mexico and Canada are part of america; even brazil and chile if we don’t specify north america. This is Mexican american beer. 12 oz brown bottle. Nice attractive label, looks pleasant, this is not a twist off! I didn’t know modela was its cousin. Has a light, diminutive brass aroma and a typical lucid light yellow orange appearance. Little head that fades rapidly. Seem to have a few bubbles but don’t qualify as lacing. Is this the taste of america? Lightly sweet and barely bitter? Cerveceria del paciffico? Very comparable to other cheap U.S.A. beers that appear in a can. Like many lagers, that carry interesting pale names on their label, this one calls itself pilsner. I find it enjoyable, as a refreshing variation of the pecunious lagers. This beer is OK, nothing bothersome. Holds its carbonation till the end. Finish is short with barely any presents of hops or malt. Similar to a very light king lager. I rate this with stella atois, pabst and miller.

33cl bottle from El Corte Inglés, Madrid. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aritficial pear aroma!? Smells like pear soda. Flavour is also like pear soda, but with hints of malt and cooked vegetables. A bit strange, but quite drinkable when it’s hot. Not a good beer, but a drinkable beverage. (2012-08-18)

Bottle: Poured a golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet sorta flowery with some grass as well. Taste is very watery with a corn and light malt.

Enjoyed at Pelons Tex Mex in Austin, Texas. Light golden colour with a white cap, looking like a cerveza should - with some light spots of lace. Light malty aromas with some sweetness. Same for taste. Refreshing crisp, not-offensive cervesa.

Bottle from Tim, thanks. Clear yellow, short lasting foam head. Barley aroma and taste of mass produced pale lager, which it is. Could taste better when in Mexico. (Velp 201507)

run-of-the-mill. Slightly more malty and hoppy than some Mexican beers. yellow amber color with a little short lasting head. I thought it a bit watery.

Another ruin of the mill Cervaza . Pours medium yellow with thick white head with aroma of corn and malt. Like all Mexican beer just add a wedge of lime to it and it's drinkable.
