I always try to go into a beer with an open mind. But when it came to this cheap-ass beer from Coast Range -- which isn't a Grade A brewery anyway -- I fully admit to being fairly prejuduced against this beer. Too many bad juju rumors for me to really have any other mindset.
So why did bother in the first place? Only in that I wasn't paying very close attention to waht I was grabbing while at Hi-Times in Costa Mesa, and ended up with this schwill purely by mistake!
And wow -- what a mistake this is. Candy-cane sweet, gooey mouthfeel, with rather disturbing things going on in the backend.
Really a nasty beer.
I can forgive a beer like this somewhat, if it's finishable, and cuts a thirst on a hot Summer day. But with something this nasty and unfinishable, it's getting no charity points from me, sorry.
Dumped.

Light gold color, med head. A light bodied lager style beer. Mild malts and slightly hopped. Mild taste. Mild flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is neutral. There is nothing bad to say about this beer, but nothing good to say about it either, sort of a generic beer. Cheap, but so what.
