Northern Light is our favorite pale ale: as a drink on its own, or matched with lighter or spicy food dishes, Northern Light is refreshing and rewarding all year round. On the nose, this pale straw-colored beer offers appealing citrus fruits, apricot and hop-resin aromas. On the palate, these fruits combine with a delicate juicy malt character to give a beer with a hoppy, zesty approachability – balanced, elegant and compelling. Appearance A pale straw colour, crystal clear, with a smooth creamy head Aroma Juicy pale malt, barley sugar, ginger and citrus, floral Palate Refreshing citrus flavours dominate the palate, with hints of brioche and fresh bread, giving way to a clean, refreshing, hoppy aftertaste Key Ingredients The very best pale ale malt gives this beer its subtle malt undertones, complemented by Hallertauer Hersbrucker, Saaz and Liberty hops with their crisp citrus bitterness

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.0%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, big to moderate white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, hint of apricots. Light bodied and refreshing: The flavour has distinct fruity hops on a moderately sweet bakground of malts, ending in a well balanced resinous and grapefruity bitterness. A nice little summer ale this one.
