Near Ølfabrikken is a field with 1000 raspberry plants caring a late sort of small and very flavorful raspberries. Once a year we pick the raspberries and throw them into a single brew. Due to The harvest 2005 was characterized by more rain and colder weather than usual, which meant than the berries was more tart than usual and even more complex in flavor. We decided that the base beer should be complex and sweet to match the berries. The resulting beer made from seven different malts, three different sugars, five different hops and a Belgian ale yeast provides a huge body and complexity matching the raspberries. Ølfabrikken Dekadence 2005 is of course unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

Pours with a deep red-brown body topped by a medium thick, quickly disappearing, fizzy head wtih some lacing. The aroma is sweet and full of raspberry with very slight chocolate and vanilla notes. The flavor is sweet and malty with a touch of raspberry, a little chocolate and a slight mustiness. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Opaque brown with a small creamy white head. Sweet and quite one-dimensional aroma of raspberryjam. Sweet flavour of over-riped raspberries, caramel, sugar and alcohol in a big body. Kong fruity finish of raspberries, mild licorice, almonds and alcohol.
