This seasonal ale usually comes out around the Canadian Thanksgiving or Hallowe'en. Decent aroma of malts, with a bit of spices thrown in - I swear I smell mace in there, but a bit weak. Almost reminds me of pumpkin pie, what little bit I can smell is nice - unfortunately it's only subtle, not overpowering. A very nice clear orange colour, but only a bit of off-orange head. The lacing doesn't redeem it. The taste is good - subtle spices and strong malts initially, with a good warming sensation and a very bitter finish. Good and quite neat, but I swear this tasted like pumpkin pie when I had it a few years ago - either I was crazy, or they changed something this time around.

Go for it if you see it, just to tell people that you've had a pumpkin beer - folks get intrigued. After that, take it or leave it. It is certainly not a bad beer, but the Olde Stone's stout and old ale still reign.
