Awarded People’s Choice Award at the Red Star Brewers Festival in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The German city of Cologne is called Köln and beer from that city is called Kolsch, a top-fermented ale first made in 1254. This Kolsch is bone-dry with a soft malt flavor and very delicate hop bitterness. Our American-made cousin is clean tasting, refreshing and smooth.

Pours a very clear light straw yellow with plenty of bubbles rising to the surface after the pour with a medium sized head which is frothy and pure white. The aroma as a pilsner/corn like scent to it, with a bit of grassy hops but not too much. Slightly floral aroma too which makes this passable. The taste is lemony to start then leads to a grainy, grassy bitter malt middle. The hops are crisp and I get some other pleasant malts including a rice like flavor. The mouth feel is crisp and clean, with a dry finish that comes about due to the hops and light to medium bodied.

Pretty clean kolsch courtesy of Mr. Kinger. Bright golden as you would imagine it to be. Malts, herbal, grassy and soft but noticeably present hops in the flavor. Aroma grassy with some hint of green apple. Finishes crisp and clean.

Bottle from kinger. Pours a clear yellow with plenty of white head and decent lacing throughout. Grassy aroma, pleasant enough, with a nice maltiness. Taste is clean and refreshing - lemongrass, lightly sweet malts, light bitter hops linger. Thanks Cory - very refreshing with tonight's pizza dinner.

Refreshing Kolsch with plenty of flavorful bite. Pale yellow in color with a 1/2" white head that comes and goes followed by some spotty lacing. Nice aroma of noble hops and plain cereal flakes. Crisp, clean a well produced and delicate beer. Good taste of dry wheat, grass and green biting hops. The hops really give a crisp bite to the overall flavor.
