02.19.05-02.20.05 2002 on tap at Toronado BWF. Lightly clouded tea color/amber, pale. Caramel on nose, floral, amarillo. Thick and sweet palate seems just right for a masive barleywine. Huge hops are tingly, especially for a three year old beer. Citrus. I loved this one and suggested it to late comers all day sunday.

One of my favorites from the Strong Ale Fest "02. Cask conditioned and HUGE! Copper colored. Huge hop nose and taste. An excellent beer.

Tom Nickles offered up a half-growler of this for our little group last night at O'Brien's..., and it was a welcome addition to all of the other fine beers we had there last night. Of course, my aching head this morning doesn't neccesarily agree, but that's besides the point...! ;)
A deep dark mahogany hued brew, with a fairly lively amount of carbonation. Nicely complex resin-like aroma, with hints of chocolate and perhaps currant in the aroma. For the flavor profile, reminded me of a darker and even sturdier version of Stone Double Bastard, with the standard Tom Nickels mega-hopping to ensure a modicum of balance to the entire affair. Finishes amazingly clean, especially for something this massive. The alcohol was present throughout, but not by any means in a heavy-handed or unbalancing way.
A colossial beer that you should definately go out of your way for, IMO.

Murky redish flavor, no head. Had on cask. Smells and tastes like alcohol. Tastes of dryness, bitterness, grapefruit and soco dominate. A big ass beer.

I was warned about this one so of course I ordered it anyway. This was a huge sticky sweet beer that begs to be aged. An amber colored beer with absolutely no head. A big alcohol and oak smell. The flavor was mainly alcohol with some raisins and caramel. A slow sipper on a cold night, well it wasnt cold but still pretty good.

This brew pours with a deep amber body with no haed or lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a caramel note, notes of dark fruit and a noticable alcohol note. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with dark fruit notes, a touch of caramel and lots of alcohol. Full bodied, tingly on the tongue and warming.
