This is an unfiltered Kölsch-style ale. Crisp and dry, it is clean and lager-like, with a pleasant, slightly spicy hop profile supplied by German Perle. Very "sessionable."

On tap @ Occidental. Not one of my favorite styles but this one is good. Yellow pour, short white head, light lacing. Clean and lightly sweet with a hint of apples, some hops and a nice small spice presence. Good, for a Kolsch.

A growler of this was given to me along with the Alt. Poured crystal clear golden, plenty of bubbles, lemongrass and rosemary on the nose. First taste is initially pretty malty, tapers out to more balanced citrus fruit with an herbal finish.
