cloudy dark orange colour, the initial foam disappears instantanely; very fruity aroma (peach, apricot) with some yeasty notes in the background; full-bodied and sparkling which makes the strong sweetness less obvious; oily; dry and bitter at the end with a long bready and fruity finish (apple, peach); a touch of warming alcohol - a pleasant beer despite a bubblegum-like mouthfeel

Rated August 2006. Cloudy yellowish orange color with thin white head. The aroma I first smell oddly enough is Oscar Mayer Wieners. My wife also detected this aroma. Is it supposed to smell like this? The other aroma notes were like wheat and yeast. Flavor has the banana character along with some light roasted malts wheat and again it actually tastes a little like an Oscar Mayer Wiener. Very odd.

Aroma is strong, malty and yeasty with a hint of pear. It pours out a pretty clear golden color with a thick and fairly persistent head. Flavor is malty with fruity tones and a nice alcohol kick. On the tongue it feels smooth and rich, a satisfying ale that goes down the pipes very pleasantly and with just a touch of bitterness. Tasty and recommended.

Pours out a cloudy gold color with a massive foamy white head. The aroma is of yeast, malt, wheat and spice. The mouthfeel is very rich and thick. The taste is just shy of becoming sweet and very bold. Extremely well brewed Belgium style.

Pours a cloudy piss yellow with a one finger head that goes away before you put the glass down. A ton of carbonation swirling around in the glass. Aroma has a dried fruit sweetness to it. Taste is bready, almost a wheat hint to it. The fruits wait a few seconds before hitting with a part sour part tart taste. Fairly dry aftertaste. Drinkable but boring.

Pours a straw gold color with a small bright white head with pretty good retention but minimal lacing. The aroma is very floral with some caramelized sugar and malt as well. The taste is yeasty on the palate, with some malt, with a decent amount of perceived sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium to high carbonation and medium body.

From Central City, 750ML corked bottle. Poured a cloudy, medium gold body under a modest white head. Aroma was pleasing, hints of spice. Flavour and mouthfeel both pleased as well with an alcohol 'bite' at the finish.

This is just a beer to drink to get wasted. It's not a gourmet tasting beer, and it's not a crafter's beer, from my own take. Basically no head, so you have to drink this fast, and as cold as possible. it has sediment, so bottle swirling is recommended. It's not very pricey, so I would buy a bunch of 4-packs if I wanted to get wasted with friends. But its taste is a little on the bitter side. I'd compare this with low-quality swill. Not recommended, you could save money by buying commercial beers like Budweiser, Mickeys, Even Corona on sale. This is the lowest of North Coast's brews, but it's still good, for the price. But if you're looking for good North Coast, look to their other brews, like Old Rasputin, Red Seal or their Thelonius tribute. This is low for North Coast, but high if you compare it to commercial brews.

Typical appearance, orange-ish brown. Absolutely no rocky head, big negative, this beer doesn't look good from the start, too hazy. Aroma is very mild but hints at dark fruits and spice. Flavor is also typical, dark fruits and christmas spices, some noticeable hops at the end. Mouthfeel is super fizzy as well, typical... this beer is deffinitely modeled after belgians without being nearly as good as the real thing.
