Anniversary XVI has a distinctly Belgian character having been fermented with an antique Belgian yeast strain. The beer is fermented of wort brewed from Pilsen malts with additions of California apple juice and Belgian candi sugar. This technique produces an extremely pale beer with a rich champagne-like quality in both the flavor and the mouth feel.

crisp and tart are the first two words that come to mind. refreshing is the next. Very cider like, and not too heavy on the belgian spiciness, this was a great "light" 8% brew. well done.

I have been waiting to pop this bottle for a year now!! It pours a light golden color with a healthy white head. Medium to thick lacing. The aroma is very sweet, almost like candy. The mouthfeel is a bit unique to me, almost carbonated. I am not sure what best describes the mouthfeel. Maybe "bubbly?". The flavor is terrific! It starts very sweet and finishes very crisp with only a slight trace of alcohol. Very good beer.

Pours with a golden body topped by a thick, white head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet adn sugary with a slight grassiness. Light bodied, dry and crisp.
