Brewed with a blend of certified organic wheat malt, barley malt and ancient grain. Steeped with orange peels and fresh cilantro, fermented using a special Bavarian heffeweigen yeast, that produces notes of banana and cloves. No additives, no preservatives. Bottle: Bottle: decant puts a murky gold ale in the tumbler with a small sticky white puffy cap...laces well. Aroma is biscuity with citrus tones and a caraway-corriander type spiciness. Flavor is toasty-wheaty-biscuity up front with aromatic herbal hopping and light citrus tone, starts drying up mid way and finishes with a dry tartness and a light bittering a;most puckering...great stuff!. Dry, spritzy, spicey, citrusy, refreshing great rendition of the style and the closest flavor profile to Hoegaarten I've tasted fron local brewers of the style.
