Our Half Bastard Stout might be light on alcohol content but it's no dwarf when it comes to flavour, body and aroma. It's packed with rich chocolate light roast and sweet maltiness, but it remains incredibly smooth and drinkable. Say hello to our little Bastard friend.

Can from the LCBO with 35 IBU. Dark brown colour, almost black, with a yellow-beige frothy head, decent retention and lacing. Molasses from the roasted malt and cocoa notes. Some nice vanilla too. Flavours of roasted malts with some mild coffee. The hops are present and nicely balanced the whole way. A little burnt wood in the finish. Quite a nice easy-drinking loaded stout.

Purchased from the brewery along with a few full Bastards. Very dark brown pour. Medium sized head has minimal retention. Aroma of milk chocolate, dark fruit and sweet malt. Good flavor for the abv. Roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel. medium smooth moutfeel. Easy drinking stout.
