A relationship between a set of factors is the Cause. The resulting causal nexus of these factors leads to a phenomenon, which is the Effect. In the case of our Nickel Brook 'Cause & Effect' Blonde it's the dynamic combination of malts, balanced with bright hoppiness, which create a remarkably flavourful, yet easy drinking Blonde ale. The beer pours a slightly hazed golden yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is light honey, citrus, cereal malt, and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is weak grains, with hints of citrus and hops. Nothing stands out. -

Can from the LCBO. Pours a golden colour with minimal carbonation, a foamy-frothy white head, good retention and some lacing. For a blonde ale, I quite like the aromas. Cereal grain, caramel, honey and some beautiful grassy hops. The hops are not as strong in the taste, which is fine, as this would be a APA if so. Still, some nice mild spiciness over the grain malts. Written unfiltered, but not really hazy, even with the excessive swirl of the can. A nice grainy Blonde Ale.

Enjoyed at Local Public Eatery, Lansdowne park. Pours a fairly big frothy white head and has a straw golden appearance. Has sticky, dirty lace. Aromas of wheats, grains and malts. Flavours are mainly grainy and sweet malts. A bit wheaty. A subtle amount of hoppy notes, enough to give a stronger flavourful taste in the finish. Otherwise, this would be a run of the mill blonde ale.

Pours a clear golden/yellow with frothy white head. The head reduces to thin layer and leaves very little lacing. Weak aroma of grass. Medium bodied beer. Flavour is quite hoppy for a blonde ale. Tastes a bit like an English style IPA. No need to revisit.
