Pours clear chestnut with a fairly thick and fluffy buff head. Aroma is not strong, but malty and caramel notes request at least a taste. Flavor has a bold malty note, as well as caramel and subtle hoppy tones that make up for the less than impressive aroma. Mouthfeel has average viscosity and is rather edgy. Worth at least a fair shake.

A ruby brown colored beer with big frothy textured off white head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. A thick film and moderate ringlet is left. Light caramel, nuttiness and some earthiness. Same in the tasting. Dull bodied, nearly syrupy

I was saying that this is the best Newcastle that I had, but the collaboration kind of explains that. Seems more balanced than the others. Caramel malt here with a nice amount of hops to balance and bitter. Kind of like a hoppy brown and Oktoberfest mixed in one. Getting some toffee and mild fruit as well. An enjoyable late day or dinner pairing beer.
