Four thousand years before Christ, Sumerian women created the divine drink of beer. Viking women brewed in Norse Society. European Ale Wives were so successful as cottage brewers they were taxed. Artisanal women lost their domination of the daily ritual of brewing during the Industrial Revolution. Today’s brewing trade is controlled by men. The collaboration of two Craft companies both led by women, New Glarus Brewing Company and Weyermann Malting, is unique. You hod the result "Two Women" a classic country lager brewed with Weyermann’s floor malted Bohemian malt and Hallertau Mittelfrueh hops. A tempting and graceful classic lager found... Only in Wisconsin.

Pours a darker amber with a one finger white head that goes down fairly quick. No problem with carbonation, lots of little bubbles. Aroma is sweet and has that Czech aroma to it. Taste is malty but very light, can barely get any taste out of it. Tad watered down and a bit flat. Not as good as I had hoped from this brewery.

Now I've had the R & D Two Women and the newer seasonal version, thanks to Q, not sure what the differences are in the two separate entries. Pours a clear gold color with a tight white tight head and nice lacing. Nice malt aroma upfront with earthy Noble-like hops and lemongrass following. Very easy and smooth flavor with a slightly sweet maltiness and light citrus-lemon and Noble hops character ending with a light bitter linger. Worthy pils. Great summer beer.
