Cask conditioned ale has been the popular choice among brews since long before prohibition. We continue this pioneer spirit with our Wisconsin farmhouse ale. Brewed with flaked barley and the finest Wisconsin malts. We even give a nod to our farmers with a little hint of corn. Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which can not be duplicated otherwise. Expect this Ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying. You know you’re in Wisconsin when you see the Spotted Cow.

Is a good beer. Friend of mine brought it to me from WI. Thought it taste good, has a pale ale taste but leaves a malt film on your tounge. Drinkable, cost was 1.39 for a single?

Pours cloudy gold with small, lasting head. Sweet, grainy aroma. Sweet fruity flavor with generous maltiness. Medium bodied anbd gently carbonated. Label says Farmhouse Ale (which sure sounds better tasting than a Cream Ale)

My initial sample from heybeerman's recent shipment.....a very good cream ale that I could throw back any day of the year. Straw and corn with a calm fruitiness. Fairly neutral aroma and flavor. Half inch white head, sparkling golden yellow body. Light, soft with a malty creaminess. Simple, easy and light.

Pour is hazy gold with an ample white head. Some bready malts and yeast in the aroma. Taste is slightly sweet with a touch of banana, clove and citrus. I've always thought this is closer to a "light" saison than a cream ale. Refreshing enough, better than most macros you'll find and on tap nearly everywhere in WI.

Pours almost a Mountain Dew yellow with a sub one finger head that goes away very fast. Good amount of carbonation. Aroma is lemony and thick. Taste is light to medium bodied with hints of malts and fruity sweetness. Finishes off surprisingly sweet. Although a fairly light beer it is somewhat creamy. Easily sessionable.

It pours a light golden with a thin white head and substantial lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, light hops, orange and citrus, bread and biscuits, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, bread and biscuits, and mild spices. Excellent!

Always wanted to try the cow and finding out it was actually a cream ale, bonus! .. Pours a hazy yellow gold, great foam .. . tart wheat, and cereal- very smooth and perfect for summer .. . i heck of a nice cream ale! .. . . Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and then the baby looked at me.

Very nice cream ale - New Glarus probably deserves a bit more national recognition as the 2 or 3 beers that I've had from them are great. Deep opaque golden straw color with a thin rapidly disappearing head. Clean crisp flavor and finish for a cream ale - not too heavy from the warm weather here now. Rich texture. Excellent.

This is another fine beer from the New Glarus people. I've always said that this brewery was one of the gems of the American craft brewing scene. A lot of brewers mess up the cream ale style, but New Glarus has provided an easy drinking version. Cloudy golden pour with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is dominated by the grains, although the 'hint' of corn is more than detectable. Flavour is well balanced with an upfront malty sweetness giving way to a hoppy finish. Highly recommended if you're in Wisconsin.

I had this beer in Milwaukee at the Metro Hotel. This was my first New Glarus beer and I enjoyed it. It was creamy and slightly funky - a nice take on an American Farmhouse ale.

Very pale straw color with a sligth haze, not visually stimulating. Grassy and sour aroma with a malt background. Very thin mouthfeel, maybe a touch of cream but barely there at all. Flavor is quite mild but easy drinking. Not remarkable, some more grass on the tongue than I would like, but overall there are a lot worse beers out there.
