5 bucks for an Imperial Stout at 8 percent ABV. Nice! It doesn't have a really chocolatey or coffee-like aroma when uncapping, which I associate with really deep Imperial Stouts. It pours with a decent foamy top. It leans towards a yeasty taste and aroma, which I still consider above average. For its price range, it is fantastic. On a cold day, this is a good drink. 2 bottles will do you in. Highly recommended, and I think this is a 'seasonal' for Napa Smith. They should make it an all-year regular brew, it's a great dark beer.

Nicely priced. Thinnish dark brown pour, nearly black, tight tan head, some lacing. Nice roasted malt and cocoa aroma, very light smoke and coffee, earthy hops. Taste follow the aroma with a light cocoa and coffee, toasted malt flavor. Not overly sweet. Nice brew for the price.

A little smoke, chocolate, coffee and fruit greet the nose. Similar in taste with the bitterness and the smoke coming out a little more. Not bad, but not what I have grown accustomed to within the style. OK for a porter, but foran imperial, falls a tad short.

Strong, smoky aroma has a sweet overtone and notes of honey, caramel and molasses. It pours an opaque sable just a flea's eyebrow above black with a thick and somewhat persistent light tan head that leaves generous lacing. Flavor has smoky, earthy, nutty and coffee notes with hints of unsweet chocolate and licorice. Smooth texture has firm, if not robust, body and a goodly amount of fizz. Let this bonfire warm the cockles of your beer-o-phile heart!
