Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy pinkish head and has a fairly dark reddish, ruby coloured appearance. Lively carbonation. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of blueberries, floral and herbal notes. Flavours of blueberries are abundant, some mild floral notes, a bit wheaty as well. Some subtle yeasty notes in the finish. Pretty good.

The beer pours a deep translucent ruby red with an uneven rocky film for a cap. The can says ‘Kolsch’ on it, but the aroma on this baby is very un-Kolsch like. A lot of tart berry notes and funky grains to be noticed. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. The flavour leans more to the elderberries than the blueberries, but there is no tartness in the flavour. Finish is lightly bitter. Very good beer, but still wouldn’t be a favourite.

Can that pours a clean red colour with a light-pink frothy, creamy head, good retention and some decent foamy-creamy lacing. Blueberries, and other berries for aromas with some hints of caramel and grains. The taste is fruity, but not too sweet. Kind of like cream soda, but with real fruits and vanilla. Still mild, as a Kölsch, but with the fruitiness. No sourness. Lightly dry finish. Interesting fruity Kölsch.
