It is an allright beer.It is very smooth with a sweet taste and color and it's way better than their red but I do not know if I'd try it again though

unremarkable. it fits the style well enough, but has no qualities that make me want to go back for another, especially at $8 a 4-pack. smooth due to the nitro, but hardly any flavor or nose to speak of.

I suppose I've outgrown ambers, finally, which is why I couldn't bring myself to rate this more than average. Like Brett says, this is definitely not the same as the red ale, which is truly inferior. But on the whole, I feel their amber ale just isn't as hoppy as their American cousins. I doubt I'd drink this again--unless someone offered me a freebie!

Sampled on Draft, Kilkenny's, Tulsa. Pours a dark amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma is very simple: sweet malt. The flavor is well balanced with bittering hops and has a strong caramel character and notes of spice and flowers. Light to medium-bodied and smooth. Do not confuse this with Murphy's Irish Red Beer, which I believe to be an inferior product.

One of the best ambers going. This beer is very drinkable. It has a slightly sweet taste. Will always be on hand in my fridge.

One of my top 5 beers in my master book, the best Amber Ale, even surpassed BASS. Slightly sweet, nice hop presence, great nose and just a beer to savor by the pint load. Could be my all time favorite as BASS has slipped the last few years.
