Tried on my first visit to Moxie's, right before seeing Tron 3D at the theatre. Pours a clean golden colour with a small head and a bit of lacing. The scent is of sweet malt and this reflects on the taste, which is sweet with a grain flavour. This has a mild pilsner-like aftertaste with I like. Nice to see a smaller brewery making beer for a chain restaurant (instead of the big macros).

My daughter has been asking to go to Moxie's for a while, so Friday night we took the plunge here in Calgary. Brewed by Big Rock for the Moxie's chain of restaurants. More of a Euro Lager than a pilsner. Pale gold/yellow color, minimal head of white foam. There was a strong yeasty aroma (actually heard the waitress tell some one it is more of a wheat beer). Taste had some fruity, yeasty flavor. Floral and grassy, with a very slight spice finish. Kind of thin body and mouthfeel. Decent, but nothing to make it anything more than average. Would pair well with, and help cut through, a spicy meal.

A very good pils that's very easy drinking. This just might be the best Pilsner made in Canada. The aroma was very fruity and flowery. The head was still nice thick as I got towards the bottom of the glass. The taste had a bit too much water, but this was great pils, none-the-less.
