Traditionally an English style of pale ale that varies in color and flavor. Extra Special Bitters are essentially more aggressive and more balanced Bitters, both in alcohol and hop character, but nothing overpowering. Our version of this traditional ale was adapted with the American hops Cascade and Centennial creating a drier, bitter profile. Despite “bitter” being in its name, an ESB is not really all that bitter with the key being balance.
