The Belgian Trippel tradition calls for a moderately heavy grist of golden pilsner malt and "Candy" sugar that sends the yeast into overdrive. We used local Dixie Crystal.

On tap @ Moon River in Savannah. Beautiful golden pour with a fluffy white head and massive lacing. Yeasty and ripe fruit aromas with a floral and peachy quality. Taste is rich with the yeast and fruits coming through up front and a honeysuckle/peach flavor offset by a slight floral bitter. More of a sweet than bitter linger. Tasty, especially for 10% abv which is very well hidden. My favorite of the Moon River offerings I had.

Crystal clear gold, but a little pale for the style. Nice, bone white head tops it. Very fruity, yeasty aroma like spiced peaches. Apricot fruitiness overwhelms the pale malt, but there’s just enough bitterness to balance. Dangerously drinkable.
