CREPUSCULA is based on the monastic dubbel canvas. Its aroma and taste come from the caramelised notes of malts, as well as the flavours of stone fruits and spices. The addition of beech wood smoked malt adds a unique layer of aroma to the ensemble.

Well, overflow... not a great start. Now at 7.3% ABV. Pours a caramel colour, hazy dark amber with a big frothy beige head, good retention and thick foamy lacing. Big caramel nose with some mild smoked wood notes, dark fruits and alcohol. The taste is blend of raisins and caramel malts. Some apples. The alcohol is present, but not too much. Just a little warming and dry mouthfeel. I get some nuttiness in the aromas eventually. Not too smoky overall, so a nicely balanced micro Dubbel.
