I still havent found a Japanese brew (asahi aside) that is in any way normal. I don't know whats up here, the front of the bottle says they tried to avoid bitterness, the back of the bottle says 60IBUs and my mouth puckers from a tart cherry/berry/strawberry underripe fruit tartness. Some really underripe pear. Stout characteristics too, looks black, slight brown to the head, bit of a soapy quality, medium mouthfeel but strong flavours. Cant say I love it really, but points for random strangeness. I just cant get past the tart/sour to find the regular characteristics. It is what it is I guess.
