Stargazer Ale is brewed to be light copper in colour with a sparkling floral hop character and great thirst-quenching drinkability. This traditional English-style summer "session" ale is made to go with warm clear summer nights, lounge chairs and our beautiful Canadian night sky.

On tap at Mill St brewpub. Pours a thick frothy creamy off-white head. Has a clear golden light amber appearance. Dirty lacing. Aromas of light grassy hops and grainy malts. Flavours are a little bit citrusy but not very hoppy overall, even for just a sessionable. Not bad.

12-ounce bottle from the Summer Sampler 6-pack, generally non-stellar offerings. Clear pour of light copper under a thin white head; no carbonation. Grassy nose, no malt to speak of. Thin mouthfeel. Bland flavour, grassy, could be some caramel at the finish or maybe not.

New at the brewpub, summer 2014. Pours a clear amber colour with a nice frothy off-white head, good retention and lots of lacing. Also lots of aromas with caramel, grain, nuts and butter. Decent medium bodied mouthfeel. The taste is lighter, as this is a lighter beer, but still has what is found in the nose. An overall decent mild ale with lots of diacetyl to give it some punch.
