BUT the beer was amazing!!! .. . wonderful full roast, truly unique and really enjoyable .. . dark black in the glass, great lacing.. A fantastic fantastic brew, almost sexy.. no flight, fuck you! My wife ordered this when I ordered their Weizenbock, so I got to sneak a few tastes. This was the darkest mild ale I've ever encountered, as impenetrably jet-black as an English Stout. Hearty malt aroma, with a hint of hops. Smooth, creamy malty flavor, with just a hint of hops. All we could get out of the harried barmaid when we asked the ABV was "low", so I can't give you a number. But I can tell you that if you're looking for a session ale in Austin, this is the one to try.
