12oz glass at the Ottawa brewpub. Pours an average size frothy beige head and has light amber appearance. Thick sticky lacing. Lively carbonation. Aromas of toasted malts, hints of caramel, earthy and herbal notes. Flavours are sweet malt, subtle citrus and floral notes, some earthy and herbal hints as well. Slightly oily and slick mouthfeel. Good retention. Not bad.

Pours a very slight, light amber colour with a warm cap, average retention and lacing. Mild diacetyl aromas with the butter and caramel, but mild enough to not be gross, and helping is light hops. Fruity hints. The taste is better showing more the caramel malts, grainy cereal notes and decent hops for a golden ale. Goes down quite nicely and does the job for the style.
