Our traditional Yuletide ale, Kris Kringle holiday ale, has been standardized to avoid the huge variations in the consistency of spicing in previous releases. This year's concoction is a medium-bodied, amber-colored, innards-warming winter ale spiced with ginger, cinnamon, and allspice. Starts pouring November. Grains: Pale Ale Malt; Caravienne; Great Western Crystal; Scotmalt Chocolate Hops: Bittering: Chinook; Aroma: Tettnanger Spicing: Varies by year

Very little foam on this ale. Dark brown color. Very hoppy, lots of pine. A little bit of malt, but not as much as the usual winter ale. Medium body with a lingering bitterness. A good beer but pretty typical of a NW ale, and not what I would call a winter warmer.

In appearance this is a nice hazy hazelnut brown beer, nice sized frothy off white head. Subdued aroma..like many McM brews but what there is si slightly spicy ( ginger) and malts. Creamy chocolaty smooth malt taste to start then the bitterness ..some hops some of it spices take over,,nice spicy aftertaste. Very smooth and creamy on the palate a pleasure to drink. Nice drinkable semi-light Christmas beer.
