Cask conditioned in Scotland: A Scottish ale or "heavy" which is copper coloured, low head, quite malty, low on hops - not bad for a "macro" cask ale.

    Nice amber color and a full head - looks just right in an imperial pint glass. Straightforward malty aroma is just what I was expecting. A bit thin in moutfeel, but not enough to worry about. A bit sweet upfront and migrating towards a strong bitter finish and aftertaste. Nice example of the style - I wouldn't seek it out, but wouldn't turn it down.

    Slightly murky brown( some cascading effect),with a large creamy off white head The aroma is pretty subdued, due probably to this being served a tad too chilled. As it warms pleasant malts appear. Very very smooth beer the taste is of sweet malts but with chocolaty and nutty accents.Small taste of hops at the very end,. wonderful mouthfeel, exceptionally smooth. Exceptional drinkability, I had several pints..nice

    A good session beer weighing in at around 4.2% and not too heavy many a good night on this stuff.
