I'd usually partake in the base beer first, but while a bomber is nestled in my fridge, we came across the barreled version on tap locally. Hard to say what the base is like. You get some chocolate and sweet roasted malt, but it is definitely first and foremost a whiskey brew. Aroma feel and flavor. Heavy barrel influence. Mostly in a good way. Y big glass was a but much being such a big beer, but it was pretty damn tasty, and smooth despite the strength.
