Crisp and refreshing as a high Sierra stream, High Country Pilsner/ Golden Trout Pilsner combines a light malty body with a floral hop finish. Pilsner malt, Vienna malt, and noble hops make this a beer of exceptional flavor.

AH YES! The Golden Trout beer ... this was the end cap to a trip with good friends into the Golden Trout Wilderness to catch the eponymous fish. After 2 days in the wilderness and 20 miles of hard hiking, this was a great refershing beer - crisp with an earthy flavor. It was THE perfect beer to end a trip of a lifetime. It will hold a special place in the archives of my beer reviews.

Not bad. Not bad. Clear yellow. Average look, slightly above average clean and floral grain and hop aroma. Nothing that stands out too much, but refreshing and free of any real flaws.

I don't know it is that I have not reviewed this yet. This beer is like Paranoids' slightly darker, slightly hoppier brother. I like this beer better than Paranoids for exactly that reason. Crispy hops, clean finish, only 5.5%, what is there not to like? This is my favorite session beer...although a session for me is about a bomber's worth. I really should send more of these abroad.

This is also called Mammoth High Country Pilsner. One of the best canned pilseners I've had in a long while. Nothing outstanding here, but what is here is done well. A shimmering gold topped by a snow white cap. Grainy malt, light fruit scents and some hops. Flavour is well balanced, not too malty, not too hoppy.

Courtesy of jlozier. Clear golden yellow pour with a slight head and light lacing. Light aromas of malts and earthy Noble hops. Easy to drink flavor with a light spiciness, enough sweetness form the malts to maintain balance and a decent earthy hops bitter to offset the malts. Good thirst quencher on a 95 degree day. Thanks JLoz!
