An ebony blackness in color. Big frothy textured, light tan head rises above. Great hang time on the head. Settles into a thick film asode the glass and thick ringlet atop the body. This go south from here. Light, very light coffee nose. Sweet, roasted malt and burnt coffee actually work well together. Light bodied.

saved this one for the finale, and it just wasn't up to the task. my favorite style, with the addition of coffee (my 2nd favorite beverage) should be an automatic winner for me, but this one was lacking in body and flavor. too thin and lifeless for an imperial stout. decent coffee flavor (not great, but decent) after a slightly more robust aroma. not bad, just bad for the style.
