Pours out a clear yellow color with very. Little head. The aroma is of sweet malt. The mouthfeel is rich and almost thick. The taste is of apple malt and pear.i drank it after some very thick and complex beer and still found it to be good.

pours was a clear golden yellow with an average white fizzy head that was mostly diminishing with poor spotty lacing. The aroma was lightly sweet with a light grain malt, floral and grassy hops and a sweaty yeast and had notes of caramel, honey, a slight fruity ester. The taste was lightly sweet and very malty with light hints of caramel and honey from the start, and then had a mild taste of hops slowly work in to the mix with the finish having a mild fruity alcohol presence towards the end. The mouthfeel was a bit beyond light in body with a light syrupy texture and a medium carbonation.

Had as Imperial Pilsner. Strong, malty aroma has a sweet, fruity overtone and a hint of honey. It pours a lovely clear amber with a fairly thick white head. Sweet, malty flavor is almost like a cider, but has a good alcohol bite and just a hint of hops. Smooth texture has firm body but lacks fizz. Overall, a nice robust pilsner.

not nearly up to par with the stout, but i wasn't expecting it to be. pleasant semi-sweet fruity aroma. taste is similar, with light grassy hops. full bodied, especially given the fizzy cloudy yellow look. fruit and a bit of alcohol in the finish.

Sampled on 3/6/2009. This Strong Lager pours a deep orange gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, some grain and spice. A medium bodied Strong Lager. The malts are fruity and sweet, lots of orange flavors. Grainy and cereal, it has that high gravity mouthfeel to it. The hops are earthy. A little alcohol hot, well a lot alcohol hot. Kind of artificial and medicinal lasting as well, but then it is a European Strong Lager. A malt liquor, but a better than average ML. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and harsh. Aftertaste is alcohol and sharp.

Aroma of grass and hay with a hint of vanilla, mild and neutral. Golden-yellow color with a 1/2" white head and lots of splotchy lacing. Sweet on the palate with a nice bite after the swallow, mildly bitter. Premium malt liquor taste (in a good way). Sweet and dry malts that are pale and grainy. There is a sprinkling of grassy hops to help provide some balance to this monster lager. Smooth, drinkable high octane lager.

I would most definitely have one again, on say a hot day (which I might add, is a rarity around here!). A big thick white head melts rapidly into the dark golden beer, with a decent ring of lace at the top. The scents are grainy, with that of some spice and cream. On the tongue, Imperial Lager roars with a nutty smoothness that you might not find in a beer of this style. Flavors of citrus and spice are most present, with a very surprisingly mild, delightfully smooth finish. I was expecting a grainy, watery disappointment. I am glad it wasn't. Well done Ceylon! Well done!

I got to admit i liked the lion stout a lot better. This pours out nice yellow head of beer that disappears quickly. It doesnt impress me that much . The alcohol note doesnt smell at all, and thes beer has a nice kick to it.
