This is the award winning beer "Best of Show" for the March In Montreal 2006. The recipe is from Ryan Allen from MacAllen's farm near Montreal. This is a classic German Pilsner that is very refreshing with a good touch of hops.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

A real gutsy Pilsner using plenty of spicey Saaz hops and rich German nobles mixed with some new hybrid super alphas. Poured a true shimmering clear burnished gold color with a sticky frothy 3 finger cap that lasts and laces the glass. Aroma is excellent: rich bready pale malts in balance with herbaceous spicy hops. Medium light body with tons of flavor....big biscuity malts in the front with a rapacious dose of herbal-spicy hops to balance...finish is clean, crisp and dry with a moderate amount of residual bittering from some super alpha hopping. One of the better crafted Pils I have tasted in Canada. A hop head’s pilsner reminiscent of Victory Prima pils
