Big coffee aromas, fresh grinds with a maple syrup touch. Dark brown, blackish colour with just a tad copper highlights. The mouthfeel shows a little alcohol warming, but still well-blended with a slick, light-thickness, but enough hoppy dryness in the finish to cut this. The mocha-coloured head is frothy, average lasting with a decent ring and slim coating on the brew that stays. Roasted malt base taste with the coffee lingering and hints of maple balancing things. A touch too rich for my ultimate likings, as I preferred some of their other Hors Séries a little more. Still, quite a good breakfast Imperial Stout.
