Can that pours a dark brown colour with ruby-copper highlights. Beige, creamyish head, decent stay and some mild lacing. Leather, tobacco aromas from the Pinot Noir, and the barrel giving a little wood. Hints of sourness, dark fruits, chocolate and liquorice. Lots going on in the nose! The mouthfeel is not heavy, almost on the thin side. Dry enough finish and not much lingering - just a tad tartiness. You can taste the sour cherries in the flavours with some hints of molasses and red wine. Starts off as not sure where this one was going, but growing on me every sip. Nicely brewed !
