Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon, Rum & Maple syrup barrels After a summer 2020 weekend in the Norwegian wilderness with Põhjala, we filled imperial stout into a very specific ratio of rum, bourbon, and maple syrup barrels. Over a year later, these barrels have imparted a diversity of flavours and aromas into the beer that go beyond the characteristics of the liquids that they once contained. Best enjoyed outdoors with friends.

375 ml bottle, waxed top (black metallic wax), Cardinal Pub, Stavanger. ABV is 13.3%. Pitch black colour, moderate to small tan head. Aroma of molasses, dark malts, oak, maple syrup, vanilla, dark rum and bourbon. Rich and warming mouthfeel, low carbonation. Very sweet and rich flavour with the same elements as the aroma, Dessert in a bottle!
