We fermented the Single on the same Belgian Trappist yeast strain as the White Ale (also the same yeast our Tripel is brewed on ). The recipe includes 100% malted barley (no wheat malt), Czech Saaz hops, and a bit of bitter orange peel for balance and a subtle spiciness. The name “Single” denotes the strength of the brew. For example, while our Belgian “Tripel” comes in around 10% ABV, the Single is 4.5% ABV. Expect a clear, deep yellow brew with a bubblegum/fruit aroma. Flavors include fruit (apples, pears, citrus), as well as a faint graininess and a slight spice from the hops and orange peel. The flavor starts out dry, quickly turning sweet and fruity. The finish is tart and spicy. It is the perfect compliment to grilled meats and vegetables, as well as salads, sushi, etc

Poured a golden color with a large, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, spice, caramel, some toffee, light barnyard funk, and yeast. Taste of citrus fruits, more clove spices, yeast, and a strong, tart, green apple in the finish.

Pours with a golden body topped by a thin to medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. SLightly sweet yet sour and yeasty with a slight banana note and a little spice. Light, sparkling and slightly dry.
