Dear Abbey Dubbel is a Belgian-style ale brewed with honey and spices and fermented using a Trappist Ale Yeast. This dark amber brew has a rich malty flavor with residual honey sweetness. The complex tastes and aromas of the Dear Abbey Dubbel has the allure and appeal of a finely-crafted Belgian Ale. Pairs exceptionally well with roast game, steaks, grilled lamb chops and chocolate desserts. Available year-round in 22 oz. bottles, half barrels and sixtals.

Beer pours amber red, little head and no lacing. The aroma is sweet candied sugar. The flavor tastes like "artificial belgian flavoring", lots of brown sugar and light fruity (cherry) malts and a really off flavor (might have been the honey) that was highly unpleasant. Truly bad when cold, got tolerable as it warm. Thin as well. Not a beer I would buy again or even say worth a one time try.
