Pours opaque coffee black with a thick, rather fine-bubbled, persistent tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma has quality coffee, roast malt, molasses, and shy chocolate notes. Flavor takes all the tones of the aroma and tosses in caramel, miso and subtle licorice, as well as pumping up the chocolate a bit. Viscous texture has good fizz and leaves a roast malt and coffee finish that has more than a hint of miso. Bold, rich, distinctive - this one is likely to blow you away.

A dark ebony colored beer with a sudsy textured, two fingered brown head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. It settles leaving a film aside the glass and well formed creamy ringlet. Strange dark fruit and some earthy woodiness in the nose. Chocolate and roastiness dominate in the tasting. Slick on the rongue

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown/black with a medium creamy light tan head that goes to a thin film and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is roasted grains, black licorice, fudgy chocolate and a little dark fruit.
The flavor is bitter charred roasted grain with some black licorice, chocolate and coffee. The mouthfeel is a little thin and watery.
Overall, an OK imperial stout. It's thin and dominated by charred roast and black licorice. -

Pours pitch black with a sub one finger head that goes down quickly. I can smell a vodka booziness when I am a couple feet away. Aroma is sweet and roasted with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Taste is quite boozy and dry with hints of roasted malts and coffee. Body is decent at best and has a slight metallic hit. Finishes off dry and gone. Not one of the best ones out there.

Aromas of coffee, cocoa powder, and acetone alcohol. Flavors started with the chocolate and coffee and as it warmed some dark fruit and malty biscut showed. Alcohol was always present (although not overwhelming) and it kinda muted the other flavors from fully coming out, so i rated it a little lower based on that in both the flavor and overall categories.
