The curlew is a Belgian style blonde. As the white is a bièrevdont taste based on the yeast and spices. The curlew is fermented with yeast typa abbey. It is the use of this yeast that develops signature spicy its own. The result is a dry and mild beer taste enhanced by spice dominated by coriander. It also denotes a grassy taste that comes from hopping. This operation consists of adding hops directly into the fermenter during the maturation of beer. The hopping (light in this case) gives a lot of flavor to beer, it also leaves one side grassy and oily if abundant.

Pours a big frothy white head and has a fairly clear golden appearance. Patchy lacing. Has aromas of bready malts and yeasty notes with hints of citrus hops. Flavours are mainly citrus, breads and yeast. Some bananas also in the mix. Zesty bitterness on the palate in the finish. Medium bodied. Great retention. Lively carbonation. Pretty good.

Growler: Poured a light amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and surprisingly good lacing. Aroma of light fruity ester and nice Belgian malt with lingering sweetness is unfortunately offset by some major DMS issue. Taste is at first very nice with some good Belgian malt with great ester of fruit and well balanced sweetness but the overcooked vegetable notes are quite atrocious and unfortunately ruin this one for me.
